Ink Blending Directly On Your Stamps

Hello friends! Katy here and today I am showing you how to ink blend directly on your stamps with sponge daubers.

For todays project I am using the Distressed Plaid Stamp and some sponge daubers with Color Hive Inks in Yellowstone, Blue Raspberry, and Flamingo. One of the things I live about sponging on your ink is you can really soften those really vibrant, punchy colors and with the right color combos you can get some really nice color blends that give you an array of colors within your panel.

Yellowstone and Blue Raspberry Color Hive Inks create the most beautiful green and Yellowstone and Flamingo Color Hive Inks create the most beautiful orange. I am reminded of a sunset with the Yellowstone and Flamingo Blend.

I have a video tutorial for you and as always if you have trouble watching here on the blog, click here to watch on Youtube.

I decided to do the eclipse technique using an oval die to give the panel a bit more interest. I added two die cuts of white cardstock and added that to the main oval cut, then added some foam squares to pop it up a bit more to give it even more dimension.

I used the Happy Birthday and Thinking of You sentiments from the Hugs Stamp Set from Maker Forte and used a strip of cardstock that is 1/4 inch wide and is perfect for those small sentiments within the Hugs Stamp Set.
