Hello Friends and happy Saturday! Today I am sharing another birthday card idea using a newly released stencil from Maker Forte called Hats Off To You! This is one stencil that has several parts to create some fun party hats. I chose to use the striped portion of the stencil for my card and as soon as I added the Marshmallow Paste I instantly thought it looked like a tree…haha

I really struggled to come up with a project for today, sometimes when I have a lot going on nothing seems to come together creatively. When this happens I turn to a favorite technique, in this case ink blending.
Ink blending is one of my most favorite things to do and if you follow my Youtube channel you know I give lots of tips and tricks to get better blends and the number one tip I can give you is to use Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper (100 % Cotton, to be exact) With that being said; I thought I would try a new to me paper (I always try to keep an open mind…haha) This new paper is from Maker Forte called Perfect Blend Card Stock.
My initial thoughts: It is different and I like it, depending on the look I am going for. It reminds me of Yupo, in that it is really glossy and plastic like, but as you blend the color dries into the paper…kinda cool.
