Pink and Main Giveaway Hop

Hello my friends! I am back as part of a video hop showcasing the fabulous Pink & Main. On the hop you will find some awesome inspiration and have yourself a chance to win a $25.00 Pink and Main gift card. Check out this quick card tutorial over on my Youtube Channel. Written instructions listed below.

To begin

I started with some Classic Linen White Pearl Cardstock from cutcardstock.com

I used a silicone baking mat I picked up from Hobby Lobby to emboss the mandala stencil from Pink & Main onto the white pearl cardstock.

To achieve the embossing with your stencils

  • Start with your base plate from your die cutting machine and 1 cutting pad.
  • Then, place your silicone mat on the cutting pad.
  • Next, place your cardstock on top of the silicone mat.
  • And finally, place your stencil on the cardstock and place your second cutting pad on top and then roll through your die cutting machine.

And wa-lah, beautifully embossed stencil on this classic linen white pearl cardstock.

Next, I used some prima marketing metallic watercolors to splatter some black and gold paint to give it some additional interest and set aside to dry.

The little things

For the sentiments, I used the Celebrate Stamp set and coordinating die.

For the celebrate die; I cut that three times out of black cardstock and layered that together with some liquid glue and then painted the black metallic watercolor paint over top to give this really pretty charcoal look.

While the celebrate die cut dried. I stamped the phrase “the little things” and “everyday” from the coordinating celebrate stamp set with some Stazon Pigment Piano Black ink. The little things sentiment I made a simple slant banner strip to go under the word celebrate and everyday was stamped on the inside of my card base.

To put it all together I layered the classic linen white pearl cardstock onto a piece of black cardstock to give a small black border and then adhered that to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 top folding card base. I lined the word celebrate up on to the front of the card panel and adhered that with some liquid glue. I then place the little things banner coming from the right just under the celebrate.

That wraps it up for me today guys. Thank you so much for joining me. I hope you have a fantastic day and I will catch you next time.

Hugs,

Katy
