  • Not 2 Shabby Summer Time Buddies Stamp Set
  • Hero Arts Hello Die
  • Honey Bee Stamps Ocean borders Stamp and Die
  • Create and Inkspire Cloud/Grass Stencil from Courtney Kreeber
  • Waffle Flower A2 layering Dies second from largest to create a small border
  • Distress inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry
  • Bristol Smooth Card Stock started at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and trimmed with A2 layering die from Waffle Flower
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb 8 1/2 x11 trimmed at 5 1/2 on 11 inch side and scored at 4 1/4.
  • Watercolor Pencils, mine are Albrecht Durer
  • Stardust glitter pen for the hello and castle
  • Book binding glue and double sided foam tape for the adhesive
  • Wow bright white embossing powder
  • And finally some Versafine Onyx Black Ink and versamark ink

This was really simple to create with just a few parts. First I stamped out my kitties with versafine ink and watercolored them. I simply placed a bit of color around the edge of the image and took my brush dipped in clean water to pull the color out. I used burnt sienna for the kitties color and then some yellow, orange, green, pink, purple and blue for the inner tube. I used the same burnt sienna for the sand castle. I set those aside to dry and then cut them out with my scan n cut.

Next, I ink blended my ocean borders. I stamped those with versamark ink and embossed with some white embossing powder. Once cooled I took my makeup brush and ink blended some mermaid lagoon darkest on the bottom and faded up to the top of the waves. I then cut them out with the coordinating die.

To finish off the background I took my create and inkspire cloud stencil and used some mustard seed on one half of the card stock and cleaned my stencil and then placed picked raspberry on the other half of the card stock and then blended them with the mustard seed to get the golden orange. Much easier to understand in the video. I rotated the stencil in different directions to get some variation in the clouds. I brought this all the way down the card panel. And then trimmed with my A2 Waffle Flower die to create a small border around the front of my card base.

With all parts colored/ink blended and trimmed it is time to assemble.

I used some double sided foam tape to pop up my waves and layered those first. I then tucked my kitties in between the waves with some liquid glue on half and then added some double sided foam tape to the backs of their heads. For the sand castle I adhered that down directly onto the card panel so it would set back from the cats and the waves. And Finally, I stamped the “summer time” sentiment from the stamp set in versafine onyx black directly onto the panel. The hello die was cut from a background stash I had that was blended with picked raspberry and seedless preserve. I then adhered the hello with some liquid glue on to the panel. I popped the whole thing up with some double sided foam tape and adhered that to my card base. And finally, I added the stardust glitter pen to the hello and the sand castle. Dimensions for the card base and panel are list up in the supplies.

Inside I used another sentiment from the stamp set “floating by to say hi”

That finishes up the card for me today. I want to thank you so much for stopping by. The blog will get better the more I get the hang of it.
