Hello friends! I hope your Summer is going well and you have found some time to craft.
Today I am sharing a special card I created with the brand-new die set from Spellbinders called Sharon's Scissors. This set was designed in memory of Sharon Klima, the beloved owner of Buffalo Stamps located in Buffalo, NY, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Sharon was famous for her love of fussy cutting, so this die set is the perfect tribute to her. What's even more special, a portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the American Heart Association in her honor.
For the background I used a grey metallic cardstock with the Soaring 3D Embossing folder by Dina Wakley. I cut the panel to 4 1/8th x 5 3/8th to give a small border of the white card base which is A2 size.
For the scissors I used some pattern paper from Moda Scraps called Fly & Scrap, and the cutting part of the scissors is silver matte metallic cardstock from Sizzix Opulent pack. You can also get this paper in a smaller pack from Spellbinders.
The sentiment comes with the set and was die cut with the Sizzix Opulent pack Rose Gold the cardstock is the pearl a nice pinky peach. You can get this in smaller packs from Spellbinders as well. I popped these up with some foam strips for a bit of dimension.
Pro Tip: I like to buy my cardstock in bulk when I can. The Sizzix Opulent Cardstock offers me the bulk option with each pack which has a nice variety of paper. (I have the gold, silver, rose gold and Ivory) The Spellbinders offers these same or very similar papers just in smaller packs and a cheaper price, some people don't need tons of papers on hand because they don't use them frequently. Or don't want to pay a lot until they know they will use it. I like to share both so you have options when purchasing your crafty supplies.
I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration. I really enjoyed creating this card for such a good cause.
