Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing this month's Wax Seal and Stitched Die of the month.
They pair so well together and make's such a pretty holiday card. One down for my holiday stash this year...lol
Let's talk about the wax seal. It is called Arctic Knit and is very detailed and sweater like. It comes with the seal of course and metallic silver wax beads. A great addition to your wax seal collection.
Next up: Stitching Die of the Month. This is called Frosted Stitch. For this I took an 4 1/4 inch wide x 11 100 lb Accent Opaque cardstock scored and folded in half at 5 1/2 inches. I took the included open die and adjusted it just above the score line and taped the sides and ran it through my die cutting machine. This allowed me to create the shape card as once piece.
Next, I removed the shape die and opened up the card and placed the stitch die over the front panel to die cut the holes for the stitching. I cut a separate shape later to place on the inside of the front panel to cover all my thread once I was done doing my stitching. Keeps everything clean on the inside.
I foiled the Mistletoe Greeting Press Plate and Die Set with Red, hot foil using my Glimmer Machine on Spellbinders Brushed White Cardstock. I just love the shimmer cardstock.
For the stitching I used DMC D168 Light Silver thread. I find the metallic threads easier to use and they add such an elegance to the card design.
Finally I added some slim foam strips to the back of the sentiments to pop them up a bit.
I have really come to enjoy the stitching dies. They take me a little time, but I think they turn out so elegant with lots of texture and dimension.
I hope you enjoyed. This month's Spellbinders Clubs. I am playing catch up with some already released supplies that I will have posted in the coming days and weeks. I plan to get my butt in gear and have some videos for you as well.
My sister was diagnosed with ear cancer down into her mastoid bone and had to have emergency surgery and when they got in there they realized it was much worse than they thought and need to do another, but not until the initial surgery heals.
Thanks for sticking with me as I manage it. I appreciate you all so very much. Products used listed below.
