Hello and welcome back!
Today’s post is showcasing the new Vivid Expressions Border Dies.
Spellbinders kindly sent me the new Eyelet Scalloped Border Die and the new Berry Fields Border Die (Thanks Spellbinders)
For both cards I used pigment powder backgrounds I had in my stash. Let’s break down each card and everything I did and used to create them.

First up, Berry Fields border. I had this blue-green-purple pigment background that I die cut twice using the Berry Fields border die and placed them together using the straight part of the die cut. I pulled them apart about a quarter of an inch and used a strip of Stardream Metallic Lapis Lazuli cardstock to cover up the center gap and to create a strip for the word happy. I tried a black strip and a white strip and they just didn’t go well.
The florals come from the Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Dies, which is on sale right now for 5$ (link below). I used another pigment background I had done a while back for each of the floral elements and leaves and for the stem I used the Stardream Metallic Lapis Lazuli. To finish off the florals used gold matte cardstock for the centers and both sentiments. BTW the Happy sentiment is from the new Simon Hurley Space Adventures release (post coming shortly). And the Birthday sentiment comes from Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments.
I used a piece of Accent Opaque 100 lb cardstock for the main panel to adhere all the elements to. I like to create cards that could be used for anything, in this case I did Happy Birthday, however; Thanks, Thinking of You, With Sympathy, Anniversary, or Just a Note would all work well.
Next up: Eyelet Scalloped Border Die

I started with an A2 size card base in white and then cut 5 of the eyelet scallop dies in white as well and layered them while over lapping each one until I got to the end of the panel (this card is landscaped) and then when I got to the end I used the scalloped border die, the one that cuts just the edge you see right at the bottom peeking out.
For the florals I used the same Stylish Ovals Hello You Florals and used some yellow-orange-red pigment backgrounds I had. The green stem and leaves comes from a pigment background I had in my stash as well. For the flower centers I used a gold glitter cardstock just to change it up, but the matte gold which I used for the sentiments would work great as well.

I hope these give you an alternative way to use any border die you may have. They are a great way to add some great layers and dimension to your card projects.
Thanks so much for joining me today, see you next time!
Katy
