Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection

Hello and welcome back!

I have lots of photos showcasing this cute collection. I kept things pretty simple. I hope you enjoy.

First up is the Pooh and Friends Silhouette die. I have 3 variations to share, 2 with alcohol ink and one with pigment powders. Let’s do the Alcohol inks first.

This card uses a mix of Pool, Turquoise and Laguna. I die cut the silhouette out of 100lb Accent Opaque cardstock and saturated it with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, and then added a couple drops each of Pool and turquoise alcohol ink, using my blower tool I moved the ink around a bit. Then I added a a couple drops of Laguna, not to much tho because it is very dark. I then moved the ink around blending all the inks around. This technique is like watercoloring with your alcohol ink, such a cool technique and so easy to do.

If you are interested in seeing this in action, I did this very technique for the upcoming Card Maker Success Summit so stay tuned for upcoming information on that.

I added this to a landscape A2 card base. And the sentiments come from the new Silly Old Bear Betterpress sentiment set.

Up Next: Drip Alcohol Inking. I did this a few years ago you can check that out on my channel if you want to see it in action Here

I used the same Alcohol Inks Pool, Turquoise and Laguna and used 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to drip the inks.

Next Pigment Powder Silhouette- Another background of yellow-orange-reds with my pigment powders

Next up Lets check out Eeyore from the Tigger and Eeyore die set, a cute birthday card!

This one came together really quick. I used a cloud stencil in my stash and a mix of blue, pink and purple inks. Truthfully I used the inks on my blending brushes so no specific colors, just what was left on the brushes.

Eeyore was die cut with Gina K Soft Stone and his mane and tail were cut with 100 lb black cardstock.

I made a postage frame with Spellbinders Nested Postage die using Accent Opaque 100 lb white cardstock and the little pink bow on his tail is from a pigment background. The balloon is die cut from a pigment background as well (specifically the one I used for the Space background in my previous post.

The HB2U comes from the new Pooh’s alphabet numbers and more die set. I used some holographic cardstock that I thought paired perfectly with this color scheme.

Up Next Friendly Moments Betterpress

This one I thought I would do monochromatic in browns. I hot foiled both Betterpress Plates (the main image and sentiment) using Espresso Bean hot foil and then added a bit of vintage photo Distress Ink over each panel including the brown cardstock. I used a natural colored cardstock for each of the light layers and Chocolate Brown cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

The embossing folder is an old Fun Stampers Journey called Inspire. I will link up one from Penny Black that will work great also.

My next Betterpress card uses the other press plate in the Friendly Moments set

I used another yellow-orange-red pigment background in my stash and some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to impress my image.

and last but not least a twist on Pooh’s Honey Pot and my favorite!

I thought I would do something a bit different here as most of the influencers will do something similar using Pooh with the honey pot.

I die cut the pot out of some hot pressed watercolor paper from Altenew (this particular paper is a bit off white like most watercolor papers). I used the leaf from the Spellbinders Wreath Builder set, which doesn’t seem to be available anymore, cut from black cardstock wrapped in certain spots to the pot and then adhered the pot to the White argyle plaid embossed background. The white argyle plaid uses Canson Graduate watercolor paper (this is white, like cardstock). I also embossed a piece of black 100lb cardstock with the same Spellbinders Argyle Plaid 3d embossing folder.

The green leaves come from Susan Tierney Double and Single Peonies die set. The flower comes from the Gerber Daisy die set.

I used a piece of Susan’s specialty flower paper with a pigment powder I have called Coral Pink with some perfect pearls and water. I saturated the paper, be careful with moving it because it will tear. Once it dried it was so so pretty! I really love this paper and much easier to manipulate for flower creations.

The leaves I used watercolor paper and ink smooshed Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, Uncharted Mariner, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness. As I ink smooshed each color I would dry with my hair dryer in between and I used clear water no shimmer.

Once I got everything adhered together I thought it needed a bit of white splatter, so I covered the pot and used some Bleedproof White with a bit of perfect pearls with some water and a fan brush and splattered around the leaves and flower. To finish it off I added a smooth iridescent gem to the center of the flower which picks up the color of the flower perfectly.

The Sentiment is an old hot foil plate from like 2019 lol, but I thought it looked best based on sentiments I had in my stash. This would also lend well to birthday, anniversaries, and sympathy cards. I used some gold matte hot foil on some 100lb Hammermill smooth cardstock.

Well that finally wraps up this post! Lots to look at and inspire, I hope you enjoy.
