Hello and welcome back!
I have been really sick for the last 2 weeks with the flu so I haven’t been able to get my crafting job done, but I wanted to get this out before the month ends and share my Spellbinders Clubs with you.
First up is the Stitched Die of the Month.
This set has 2 stitching layer frames and one that is a tag that can have stitching added to the bottom. It also comes with 2 rectangle layers that you see I embossed on this card.
I used specialty white/gold shimmer card stock and Stardream Metallic is Eris which is a soft white, photos do not do it justice. The embossing folder I used on the other layers is what came with the new Platinum 6 machine.
The Ginkgo leaves were die cut from matte silver and matte gold cardstock and the Congrats is hot foiled with matte silver foil.
The thread is DMC Diamant number D168 and pared perfectly with the 2 cardstocks I used. I will have those listed below.
When I started the stitching I wasn't sure where this was going to take me, but the colors guided me to a congrats card which would be great for weddings.
This is one of my favorites so I added another photo.
And remember you don’t have to stitch if thats not your thing!

Up Next, Wax Seal of the Month
My goal with the wax seal of the month is to show you lots of different ways to incorporate them into your card making.
For this month I created a cross fold pocket. Super simple. This is easy to create but complicated to explain...lol
Use an 8.5"x11" cardstock, cut landscape at 5 1/2" this will give you two A2 card bases. Score them at 4 1/4"
Take one card base and insert it into the other so you have a flap that opens to the left and to the right. Once you have this laid out, leave the right side open and use your ruler and pencil to lightly create a diagonal line. Once you have the left side marked, go ahead and close the right side and mark your diagonal line. This way allows you to visually see and make sure you are cutting away the correct pieces.
Our goal here is to cut the outer flaps in half at a diagonal to create a criss cross pocket.
If you are confident, just do the cut in your trimmer without the pencil line. I wasn't so I used the pencil guide. Also, you could do a test with printer paper so you don't waste you good cardstock.
I used double sided adhesive on the inner bottom fold and on the inner diagonal line to adhere the flaps closed.
The twine is purely decorative.
The background for the card panel is one I made myself and will offer as a free printable here on the website real soon.
I designed this to create 4 card panels from an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I used one of the 4 panels I created and trimmed that down to 4 1/8th inch x 5 3/8th inch and added it to a craft card base. I used twine and wrapped it along the left edge with a bow for additional interest.
I left the sentiment off when I designed the printable so you can add your own with die cuts or like I did, stamp with a hot foil plate. Of course you can also use regular stamps.
I used a couple different Versafine Clair inks for the sentiment- I cant remember them off the top of my head. I will list them in the supply list.
Thanks for stoppin by and I will catch you next time!
Katy
